Group Courses

Course objectives

Our objective is to give you maximum opportunity to progress in all areas of Portuguese. Courses use a combination of a course book and extra materials to help you:

• Become better able to communicate confidently, clearly and accurately when speaking and writing.
• Become better able to understand written texts and audio recordings.
• Expand your range of grammar and vocabulary.
• Help you to understand and participate in cultural events and Portuguese traditions.
• Maintain and develop your interest in, and motivation for, learning Portuguese.

Outings

ELC organises one to two outings per year. These are an excellent way to meet other students studying Portuguese at ELC, to practice your speaking and listening skills, as well as an opportunity to practice useful life skills such as presenting in Portuguese. Furthermore, it is a unique opportunity to get out of the classroom, build confidence and use Portuguese in real life settings.

Our Group Course timetables vary and the days depend on your level. We offer:

• 2 hours twice a week
• A more intensive option of 2 hours x3 times a week
• During the summer, we have Monday – Friday courses
