Our story
The ELC story began in Cascais centre in September 2006 when we opened 2 small classrooms for English courses. 2008 brought the introduction of Portuguese courses.
Then, on a yearly basis, we expanded and now the ELC Building comprises 3 floors and 9 spacious classrooms. Every year over 500 students choose ELC for their language learning needs. Our wonderful staff stays motivated by constantly keeping up to date with teaching ideas and materials.

- have a 99% pass rate for official exams

An international community!
One of the biggest changes we have seen over the last few years is the range of nationalities studying with us. It’s likely you’ll be in a classroom with a broad variety of different first languages!
What's the advantage of that for our students? Well, it certainly makes classes more ‘real life’. If your classmates do not speak your language, you need to speak the language you’re learning in order to communicate!
